Trying to Plan a Trip to Disney World?

Does it feel like you need a PhD in Disney Parks to figure it all out? I get it. When I planned my first trip to Disney World I was starting from ground zero. Basic information was hard to find. This blog was created several years ago as a primer for the first time Disney World visitor to help explain the basics of how Disney World works:

  • How many parks there are and what’s in each one (Parks)
  • What the resorts are like and where they are located (Resorts)
  • How to get from the parks to the resorts and back again (Transportation)
  • What is there to eat at the parks and resorts (Dining)

See? We cover the basics: play, sleep, eat and travel (how to get to the playing, sleeping and eating).

That’s as basic as it gets. Disney World is HUGE. Things can get complicated fast, and if you don’t yet know how Disney World works, all of the tips, tricks and strategies are useless.

You can learn a little bit about me here and why I think I can help. Know it sounds cheesy, but Disney World truly is one of the most magical places on earth. Never thought I would fall this hard for a theme park, but here I am fangirling all over the place. While you might not fall as hard as I did, I’d like to give you your best shot at a magical vacation. Understanding how Disney World works can help the magical from turning tragical.

Need a smidge more than the basics?

Feel free to poke around. For an updated list of what we think you need to know NOW to plan a trip to Disney World (or navigate one that is already on the books) check out our Things You Need to Know Now to Plan a Trip to Disney World. We will continue to work on updating the Dustless Pixie site to reflect the newest information.

While we work on that, I’d also like to suggest several folks who are doing an AMAZING job of covering every new development at Disney World. They are frantically updating their social media and heading to the parks to do some boots on the ground reporting of, well, EVERYTHING. These are the folks that I am regularly following for up to the minute Disney parks details:

Mouse Hacking, WDW Prep School, The Mouselets, Living By Disney, and WDW Info.

These are GREAT sources for information on all things Disney parks. Check them out!
